Oral
Surgery (removal
of teeth)
Removal
of wisdom teeth/or 3rd
molars is ideally encouraged
while patients are in
their teens. While not
all wisdom teeth need
to be removed, it is a
proven fact that they
are difficult to clean
in most cases and can
erode or destroy the adjacent
molar teeth. Cyst and
tumors can develop next
to impacted teeth. There
is little, if any, scientific
proof that wisdom teeth
can move adjacent teeth
or cause dental crowding.
Safe
removal of teeth, whether
they are impacted (covered
up), or not, can be one
of our most challenging
services.
It
is important that the
surgeon removing your
teeth can treat all the
complications associated
with that surgery and
has privileges in a local
hospital to do so.
